Position Summary: The DCCC is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer with an interest in political messaging and a desire to develop technical skills to help create effective graphics for web and print. This person will be responsible for completing daily tasks to advance the needs of various departments and have the opportunity to help pitch, create, and edit a variety of visual products.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.

Responsibilities Include:

• Create or edit previously created assets for social channels - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube - and the committee's paid digital programs across multiple platforms including mobile and out-of-home advertising.
• Contribute to the design and updating of fundraising materials and district maps.
• Assist Senior Graphic Designer and video editors with other visual assets as needed.
• Help develop unique and new concepts to reach our target audiences.
• Work within tight deadlines.
• Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience with After Effects is a plus.
• Familiarity with designing for a variety of web and print platforms.
• Motion graphic design experience, primarily with GIFs, is a plus.
• Freehand and vector illustration experience.
• Familiarity with Canva.
• Attention to detail and concern for accuracy.
• A strong interest in Democratic political issues and a commitment to helping Democrats take back the House in 2024.
• Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability.
• Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels.
