Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will provide high-level operational and administrative support to the Director, Environmental Health & Safety. The EH&S Business Services Specialist will manage the daily aspects of the accounts payable and purchasing functions through Concur and NovaBuy systems as well as ensuring that vendors are properly onboarded and contracts are fully executed. This position includes detailed financial duties including reconciliation of expenses and preparing month- and year-end projections.
The EH&S Business Services Specialist will assist in daily business processes. This position is responsible for EHS compliance and technical tasks including injury and incident tracking using internal and third-party services; supporting training efforts including documenting training completion and publishing training using LMS platforms; scheduling and support of Employee Safety Committee; assisting with administration of chemical inventory system; tracking and storing manifests for regulated waste.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Understanding of general office procedures and equipment; demonstrated ability with MS Office suite; understanding of budget/financial transaction.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage difficult conversations with parents and other constituents. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
