GSAM's Insurance Asset Management team is an industry leader in the management of the investment portfolios of life and health, P&C and reinsurance companies. GSAM has a dedicated global insurance business including an insurance fixed income management team, a relationship management team and an insurance strategy team. Members of the team are based in New York, London, Germany, Switzerland, Japan and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior LPMs to develop trade ideas to enhance portfolio composition and income profile
- Ensure clients’ needs are met by maintaining accounts, managing cash and instructing trades
- Facilitate implementation of trade programs, working with sector PMs and traders across all major fixed income markets(corporates, securitized, municipals, sovereigns, emerging markets)
- Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers, to address bespoke and recurring requests
- Partner with Portfolio and Product Manager(s) to prepare and review materials for recurring or bespoke client meetings
- Identify and escalate any sensitive client issues to senior team members; coordinate a timely response to the client
- Coordinate with key stakeholders across the Division including Portfolio Managers, Product Managers, Legal, Technology, Operations and Compliance with a common goal of meeting clients’ needs
- Liaise with technology and starts teams to improve our process and test new technology solutions
Qualifications
- 1+ years of work experience in asset management or capital markets, preferred
- Knowledge of, and passion for, the asset management business and capital markets
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- Strong knowledge and appreciation for processes around operational nuances as well as portfolio management metrics
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, and collaborate well with others
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Undergraduate degree in business or finance related studies, preferred

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $90000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
