The Senior Financial Analyst will lead the day-to-day financial management of overheads records for the aligned business area. Responsible for leading the analysis, and reporting of financial performance of selected Group Functions. Will also support in the production of a robust and accurate budgeting and forecast process in aligned business area within our distribution center in Hanover, PA.
This position is based in Hanover, PA and there is an expectation to work from the office for at least 4 days a week.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Input and maintain monthly accounting records in aligned business area with high quality and accuracy.
- Deliver period end close processes, while having the ability to escalate issues promptly.
- Review, develop and improve overheads accounting processes and operations to create efficiency and reduce non-essential workload.
- Track Capital spends with necessary business analysis.
- Maintain effective controls and procedures to satisfy statutory audit requirements.
- Deliver regular reporting requirements to the assigned area, to support understanding of the financial results and enable decision making for the business.
- Complete detailed analysis and provide summary findings for key stakeholders to support their understanding of financial information and accounting entries for explanation to budget holders.
- Meet with key stakeholders during budgeting and forecast process while having the ability to produce the budget and forecast in related areas.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing or new reports and to create efficiency.
- Support the team with Ad hoc work when necessary.
What You’ll Bring with You:
- Ability to work independently with minimum guidance
- 3-5 years of overall finance experience.
- Experience within a distribution setting or with a similar business is a plus.
- Commercial understanding of the key sales & profit drivers
- Very high levels of accuracy when working with data.
- Experience dealing with large data sets, ability to manipulate to answer requests and aid decision making.
- Advanced Excel and ideally SAP BW / Hana experienced user
- Good PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Good knowledge and skill of accounting and systems processes
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Good track record of delivery
