Salary/Range: $26.45 - $28.85 per hour. Dependent on Experience

Status: Full time 40 hours per week, benefits eligible

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, variable hours between 8:00am to 4:30pm

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Associate II will administer informed consents and assessments in multi-site clinical trials of mental health treatment (PTSD, depression, substance use) for Veterans. The Research Associate II will also be involved in participant recruitment, screening, database creation and management, document preparation, and other aspects of the research as needed.

1. Recruit and screen study participants

2. Consent and accept participants according to research design

3. Administer structured psychological interviews of participants during data collection period. Assessments include but

are not limited to PTSD, depression, substance use and suicidality.

4. Administer self-report instruments to participants during data collection periods

5. Adhere closely to research protocol and treatment manuals and document this adherence

6. Record interview to be used for adherence ratings

7. Attend weekly consultation/supervision/lab meetings

8. Assess, summarize, and present subject symptomatology, status, and areas of concern to the PI and other research

personnel

9. Manage and disperse participant stipends to subjects

10. Identify potential adverse events and general mental health concerns that require follow up by the PI

11. Maintain blindness to randomized condition of each participant being assessed

12. Maintain study documents, manage data collection and data entry and monitor protocol

13. Maintain regulatory documents

14. Assist with administrative coordination of core activities

15. Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., VMRF, VA, lead site, DoD), local investigators, and study

coordinator

16. Assist with presentations of project, representation of project, advising leadership, responding to inquiries, and

preparation of reports

17. Assist the PI and research coordinator as needed

18. Additional duties may be required

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field from an accredited college or university AND at least 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
