Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting students, staff and visitors in a timely, helpful, and professional manner.
Receive and process various payments/deposits from students, parents, faculty, and staff both over the counter and in the mail.
Balance cash drawer and prepare and process bank deposits daily.
Maintain and distribute checks and iPads to university personnel as needed.
Utilize CashNet for deposit posting, account adjustments and transaction reports.
Pickup and distribute daily mail.
Assist AFO staff with supply orders and other administrative tasks.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
One year of cashier experience, including balancing a cash drawer.
Experience in computer data entry and proficiency utilizing a 10-key calculator.
Knowledge of cash handling best practices.
Experience in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to communicate effectively and exercise maturity, good judgment, and tact in working with students, parents, faculty and staff.
Positive, friendly attitude and an ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
Organized and detail oriented with a willingness to perform various administrative tasks as needed
Proven reliability and dependability.
Experience using Workday and CashNet highly desired.
Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU’s Community Life Covenant.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time, but also includes walking on campus, and some standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and ability to lift up to 10 lbs. The position requires use of office equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. The work requires the ability to visually read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. It also requires hearing and speaking to customers and colleagues in person and by phone.
