Title: Research Associate (LNP)
Direct Hire 
Schedule: M-F, 8am – 5pm 
Location: Hayward 
Salary: $80K – $100K 

Overview:
We do not discover but engineer novel drugs and modalities from first principles. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate, Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) to join our dynamic team focused on the design and development of novel nanoparticles composed of nucleic acids, proteins, and lipids.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize protocols for nanoparticle formulation and drug delivery systems.
  

• Characterize nanoparticles using techniques such as dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fluorescence Spectroscopy, and HPLC.
  

• Perform mammalian cell culture and in vitro assays such as gene expression assays and flow cytometry-based assays to understand LNP characteristics and performances.
  

• Perform assays such as quantitative PCR and RT-PCR from cell/tissue lysate
  

• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.
  

• Collaborate with team members to analyze data, interpret results, and prepare research reports.
  

• Present findings at team meetings and contribute to scientific publications.

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 2 years of industry experience with at least 1 year of experience formulating lipid nanoparticles.
  

• Proficient in mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, HPLC, and qPCR.
  

• Experience in lipid nanoparticle formulation and biophysical characterization.
  

• Experience with mRNA delivery and mRNA therapies.
