Finance Assistant:
The Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable) is responsible for managing the financial transactions related to accounts payable within the school district. This includes processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. Key Responsibilities:
Receive and review invoices from vendors for accuracy and completeness.
Enter invoice data into the accounting system and ensure proper coding and classification.
Reconcile statements from vendors to ensure all invoices are accounted for and paid in a timely manner.
Process payments via check, electronic transfer, or other approved methods, following established procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
Respond to inquiries from vendors regarding payment status or discrepancies.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
Central Office, Accounting; full time, 260 days; 2024-2025 school year; 7-1/2 paid work hours with one hour unpaid lunch; 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m (schedule as determined by Supervisor).; candidate must be detail-oriented with strong math skills and comfort using technology, good interpersonal skills, and regular attendance; responsible to Assistant Treasurer and/or designee.
