Job Summary: The DC Facilities Lead will maintain, service, and conduct minor repairs to building and equipment. Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, or plastering. Assists maintenance engineers and other workers with their tasks. Serves as Lead to facilities maintenance crew. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
Responsible for handling the general maintenance of the distribution center and safety standards throughout the facility.
Trains operators on various Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and identifies needed repairs while completing checklist compliance requirements.
Plans and assists with regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical and plumbing systems within facility to ensure proper upkeep of equipment.
Oversees and performs general carpentry, painting, electrical, welding, plumbing and HVAC installations as required.
Leads the installs and repairs of DC storage racks as required.
Assists with mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair of a variety of powered material handling equipment as required.
Maintains and completes various maintenance-related documents including but not limited to work order requests.
Preventative maintenance and daily job breakdown summaries, parts requests and parts purchase orders.
Performs semi-routine duties where some judgment is required. Work is performed under defined and uniform procedures.
Exhibits reasonable care and operation of powered material handling equipment.
Communicates with the Facilities supervisor to ensure all required maintenance and projects are completed on a timely manner.
Maintains the integrity of our Mission, Vision and Values statement while performing daily job duties.
Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company needs and operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Four years of maintenance related experience is required with two years of Lead experience.
Strong mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and A.C. electrical circuitry knowledge of 120V through 440, 3-phase required.
Possess a current forklift certification including ability to train and certify others on various material handling equipment.
Excellent hand and eye coordination required.
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, utilize basic hand tools and electrical and/or electronic test equipment including volt/ohm meters and amp probes strongly preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented, meet department standards, and perform duties without immediate and constant supervision.
Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace within the Distribution Center environment including walking, bending and lifting is required.
Salary: From $25.50 per hour
