Job Purpose:
The Regional Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and aiding in the creation and execution of compliance programs both domestically and internationally. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to regulations and minimizing risks.
Job Responsibilities:
\u25CF Assist with the development of a variety of EHS compliance and Food Safety programs.
\u25CF Establish and maintain knowledge of existing and emerging regulations that affect business processes including but not limited to DOT, OSHA, EPA, FMCSA, and State and Local agencies and international equivalent.
\u25CF Synthesize regulatory requirements into executable operational programs and develop and write the EHS Standards and complementary resources and tools for existing and proposed business initiatives.
\u25CF Write, review and approve technical documentation including change controls, product reviews, process validation protocols, technical reports, and specifications to ensure conformance with regulations and regulatory guidelines.
\u25CF Work collaboratively with the EHS, Legal, Risk Management, Operations and other key functional partners to implement regulatory initiatives and drive improvement.
\u25CF Prepare and submit a variety of regulatory filings.
\u25CF Oversee FDA registrations and State licensing processes.
\u25CF Assist divisions with implementation of food safety programs, training and mock recalls.
\u25CF Develop metrics, reports, and dashboards for internal and external customers to drive improvement.
\u25CF Prepare and deliver training and awareness materials, guideline proposals, and other tools to meet regulatory requirements and minimize risk to the enterprise.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
\u25CF Experience with California Environmental Regulations to include hazardous waste, air quality, storm water.
\u25CF At least 5 years\u2019 experience working in a corporate environment and managing regulatory processes.
\u25CF Fluency interpreting complex regulatory requirements and developing resultant operational practices.
\u25CF Well-developed skills related to Microsoft Office.
\u25CF Ability to effectively partner with corporate functional teams and regional or division leadership.
\u25CF Conduct independent research related to internal and external customer inquiries.
\u25CF Periodically review contracts and customer agreements to identify problematic language.
Work Experience:
\u25CF 5-10 years of related job experience.
\u25CF Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
\u25CF Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
\u25CF A through understanding of government regulations (DOT, OSHA, HazMat, etc.).
\u25CF Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
\u25CF Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges.
\u25CF Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
\u25CF Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
\u25CF Professional safety, environmental, and DOT management experience. General knowledge of applicable safety, environmental. and DOT governmental regulations, specifically OSHA, EPA, and DOT and their applications if required.
\u25CF Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
\u25CF Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
\u25CF Strong planning and organization skills are required.
\u25CF Thorough understanding of environmental and industrial hygiene requirements such as EPCRA notifications, storm and process water management, proper management of hazardous waste, and air and noise sampling and control measures.
Education:
\u25CF Bachelor"s Degree Preferred
