We are looking for a People Generalist to join our small and mighty team of one! This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization. You'll be at the heart of our team, managing various HR functions and initiatives to support our staff and foster a positive work environment. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence on and off the field.
This role will report to the Vice President of People + Culture.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
Coordinate and conduct onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a seamless integration into the team.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints or grievances, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
Implement strategies to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, contracts, and other documentation in HRIS.
Process benefits administration, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Performance Management:
Support performance appraisal processes, providing guidance to managers and employees on goal setting and performance feedback.
Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement or development.
Assist in the implementation of performance improvement plans as necessary.
Manage data in the performance review system.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate training programs to address skill gaps and enhance employee development.
Track training participation and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Compliance and Legal:
Stay up-to-date with relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all HR practices and policies.
Assist in developing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Work closely with legal counsel as needed to address HR-related legal matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably in the sports industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Tech-savvy, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and understanding of people.
Aptitude in problem-solving.
Ability to navigate and manage change effectively.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Ability to work in the office three days per week and attend home games.

Compensation
In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $70k-$85k exempt.
