Applications are being accepted for a full-time Recreation Support Assistant in the Administrative Services Division of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture. In this position, you'll provide administrative support and office assistance at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, provide information about programs, activities, sports, and special events to callers and visitors, and interpret programs, rules, regulations, or procedures for patrons. You'll be joining an innovative and collaborative team committed to providing exceptional customer service as well as diverse cultural, artistic, and recreational opportunities and interests to promote the health and well-being of residents and visitors.
40-hours per week, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to adjust work schedules to maintain coverage.
We are looking for a positive, outgoing, and resourceful individual who enjoys working with people and can remain poised, professional, and diplomatic at all times. The ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English and Spanish is desirable.
Starting salary for this position is negotiable within the target hiring range ($49,000 - $54,000) and will be offered at a level consistent with the relevant experience and qualifications of the candidate.
