Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for a Primary Care Physician with interest in sexual and reproductive health. Our patient population consists of underserved women and gender diverse individuals aged 19-55. We are Melody Health—Primary Care from Planned Parenthood.

Qualifications
Licensure and/or Certification Requirements:
Current California MD or DO Medical License
DEA Registration
Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Current ACLS certification
Minimum Education:
Graduate from accredited school of medicine
Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Other Requirements:

Strong commitment to the evidence-based practice of medicine
Strong commitment to providing non-judgmental, inclusive, culturally sensitive care.
Ability to relate to diverse communities and identify and address health disparities and promote health equity.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Provide high quality primary care in accordance with agency protocols and evidence-based standards of care.
Perform physical examinations, review medical history, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement treatment plans.
Provide family planning services, including initiation and management of all contraceptive methods
Provide options counseling and abortion referral.
Provide medication abortion services.
Educate and counsel patients on sexual and reproductive health issues.
Provide direct supervision to advanced practice clinicians within the scope of medical expertise and California state law. This includes providing medical consultation to clinicians regarding the management of specific patients.
Document patient data accurately and completely in the medical record.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director and/or Associate Medical Director.
