Job Title: Accounting Manager

Company/Industry: Freight Forwarder

Location: Great Neck, NY

Salary: $90-110K/yr Commensurate with experience + benefits

Position type: Direct Hire, FT On-site

Responsibilities:

· Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc.

· Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries.

· Publish financial statements in time.

· Handle monthly and annual closings.

· Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

· Maintaining accurate financial records for all accounting transactions.

· Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.

· Work closely with management and headquarter in Hong Kong.

· Support ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

· A degree, although not always mandatory, is very advantageous. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is particularly favored.

· Previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

· Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Experience with general ledger functions.

· Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.

· Ethical behavior.

· Attention to detail.

· Work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 Per Year
