Ephrata Area School District, 803 Oak Boulevard, Ephrata, PA, is recruiting for the position of Long Term Substitute Computer Science/STEAM Teacher for the Ephrata Area School District for the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
The Teacher promotes and develops successful learning for students, performs instructional and related duties in accordance with District Policies and terms of the teacher contract. The Teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students. The Computer Science/STEAM teacher will support instruction on a wide range of computing, coding, technology, science, and math topics.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Certification: Holds an active certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in any of the following: Computer Science 7 - 12; Mathematics, Business Computer and Info Tech K-12; or Technology Education 7 - 12 Experience: Any work experience in certification area(s). Student teaching experience in a supervised education program at an accredited institution.
WORK PLACE EXPECTATIONS: • Must demonstrate regular and punctual attendance. • Must interact positively with administration, students, staff, parents and community members. • Must demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in behavior & speech and dress in a neat, clean and professional manner. • Must follow all District policies, work procedures and reasonable requests by proper authority. • Must maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to students and families. • Follow established protocols as outlined in Student/Faculty/Support Staff handbooks
Applicants must possess the following criminal clearances obtained within the last 12 months: Act 34 - PA Criminal Record; Act 114 - FBI Background Check; Act 151 - PA Child Abuse Clearance. The Ephrata Area School District also requires a pre-employment drug test, physical, and TB test upon offer of employment.
