Job Summary

Design, test, and commission a broadband optical spectrometer.

Essential Job Duties

• Operation of a cryogenic molecular source, including lasers and vacuum systems.
• Design and test of a dispersed fluorescence/absorption spectrometer with a broadband light source.
• Calibration of spectrometer using known species and frequency references.
• Implementation of spectrometer to perform broadband optical molecular spectroscopy.

Basic Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in physics, applied physics, chemistry, or a related field, with at least one year of experience with molecular production/spectroscopy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dispersed fluorescence or absorption molecular spectrometry.
