Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping & Receiving and Inventory Personnel. These roles are crucial in ensuring accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and supporting overall warehouse operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Shipping & Receiving:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of items received against invoices or packing slips.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, labeling packages accurately, and selecting appropriate shipping methods.
- Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups or deliveries.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all shipments and receipts.
• Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to meet customer demands.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory counts.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for efficient inventory handling.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures to optimize inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• General Warehouse Support:
- Mainly helping wrap pallets and banding them.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, as well as organizing and storing inventory.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and according to company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill customer orders and resolve any shipping or inventory-related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Must have sit down forklift experience.
- Proven experience as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, Inventory Clerk, or similar role in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software/systems (e.g., ERP systems, barcode scanners).
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and external contacts.
PAY RATE
$16+ per Hour. Depending on experience.
SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday 7am – 5 pm
