POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of this position is to spearhead manufacturing digital transformation initiatives. This involves crafting and executing strategies to propel the integration of digital technologies, identifying and prioritizing lucrative business opportunities, and implementing solutions that foster continuous value generation. A key focus lies in driving programs for manufacturing data collection and analytics, with the ultimate aim of enhancing operational excellence across various facets such as safety, quality, customer service, and cost-effectiveness. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely execution of initiatives across all production lines at See’s Candies factories and fulfillment centers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deploy a comprehensive manufacturing digital transformation strategy, encompassing key technical sub-strategies such as automation, cybersecurity, planned obsolescence, data integrity, and Industry 4.0. Align these strategies with overarching business objectives including asset management, supply network optimization, labor planning, site master planning, WCM, and sustainability initiatives. Formulate a forward-looking five-year vision for manufacturing and supply digital transformation, culminating in a transformative roadmap proposal.
- Identify, prioritize, and secure approvals for the implementation of automated data collection and analysis systems. Drive the integration of supply and manufacturing systems with enterprise-wide business processes, ensuring seamless compatibility. Deliver contextualized information to stakeholders to enhance decision-making quality and optimize operational and administrative functions.
- Play a pivotal role in the overall business digital transformation program, representing the Supply function and fostering robust collaboration with Corporate IT. Focus on areas such as cybersecurity, functionality, integration, and obsolescence management to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the development and implementation of MES systems based on MES-11 standard functionalities. Spearhead the selection process for MES technology platforms and vendors, driving strategic partnerships and ensuring See’s Candies receives sustainable value and service from automation vendors.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop a comprehensive capital investment program and project portfolio. Conduct thorough analysis, including strategic fit assessment, alternative evaluation, risk mitigation, and financial justification (ROI, IRR). Own the three-year capital investment planning process, prioritizing projects over time.
- Provide expertise in controls engineering, delivering controls, automation, and power supply components for capital projects. Lead a standardization program related to digital transformation, controls, and automation, developing and codifying corporate standards in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Apply Lean tools and techniques to optimize manufacturing processes, providing clear KPI visualization to manufacturing personnel. Undertake special projects as assigned by management, demonstrating adaptability and agility in driving change initiatives.
- Establish principles for change management and maintain momentum through effective communication, employee engagement, and development initiatives. Continuously learn from and measure change results to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Take responsibility for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation to improve departmental effectiveness, driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5-7 years of Manufacturing experience, preferably in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG).
- Skilled in stakeholder management, team leadership, and influencing without formal authority, including working effectively with senior management.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Expertise in Electric Safety standards and PLC, HMI, SCADA programming, with experience integrating these systems with MES and ERP platforms.
- Proficient in automatic data collection, analytics, contextualization, and visualization techniques.
- Experienced in project management, supplier management, and understanding of food manufacturing principles, supply chain, logistics, and e-commerce operations.
- Proven success in developing visionary strategies and roadmaps for manufacturing and supply chain digital transformation initiatives.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for project implementation and collaboration purposes.
