This position supports the annual planning and daily tracking, administration, and oversight of Solar’s Planview system.
Responsibilities include Capital Management, R&E docket management and monthly reporting, headcount reconciliation, budget tracking and reporting, engineering purchase requisition creation, WCCS time charge tracking, OCE reporting and primary liaison with Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, and Finance.
Supports management of the following annual programs:
Internal Development Funds, APDM & Capital: $25 - $35M
Multi-year NPI Programs: $10 - $20M each
Advanced Technology Programs: $2.0M - $2.5M
Business Unit OCE Budget: $100K to $200K

NATURE AND SCOPE
Employee interfaces with multi-functional product development teams of highly skilled Engineers, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Accounting, Sales and Marketing personnel. Provides Planview support in the oversight, tracking, analysis and reporting spend.
The candidate will be an essential part of monthly hours reconciliation and Planview reporting. They must understand the interdependencies of departments, roles, and employee types and have a strong understanding of Planview administration practices.
The incumbent will support process improvement activities to increase efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of budget monitoring.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Broad knowledge of Planview administration is required to provide oversight and monitoring of all demand requests; initial design, architecture review, testing, and promotion to production. Communicates budget reports to Program Managers. Liaison with Property Accounting, and various customers for questions and issues resolution. Coordinates spending forecasts to meet year end goals as requested by team. Responsible for scheduling and facilitating monthly R&E material and labor reporting and Planview portfolio management software to track annual spending. Interfaces with R&E Accounting to resolve questions between finance and program managers. Headcount reconciliation - Monitors current headcount and reconciles Planview figures to ERP Financials. Point of contact between vendor (Planview) and Solar customers. Form relationships to better understand vendor software and customer requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications for this position include strong numerical skills, excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and proficiency at reconciling numbers and budgets. The candidate must be self-motivated and have a genuine interest and capacity to understand how the engineering organization functions. Ability to learn new technologies and computer systems is required. Prior experience in cost accounting, project controls, or other financial functions is required.
The incumbent should have advanced Excel proficiency and be trained in ERP Purchasing procedures. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain or Business Management, and 3 - 5 years’ work experience in a related field. Certified 6 sigma Black Belts,
Certifications in Project Management and certifications in advanced MS Excel are highly preferred.
Summary Pay Range:
$87,456.00 - $131,184.00
