Job Abstract

AVENU™ is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the Avenu platform (a Bank as a Service (BaaS) platform). We need a dynamic Quality Assurance Engineer to partner with our cross functional teams to certify Avenu internal platform, subsystems and infrastructure.

This is a Hybrid position based in our Sterling, VA office.

Must have in-depth knowledge in Postman, ReadyAPI testing tools

Role:

The position will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of the Avenu platform. The role requires excellent analytical and communication skills and a passion for learning and working with new, state of the art software/technology. The role will focus on risk and compliance test plans and creating automated, functional, regression, load and performance tests.

Responsibilities:

• Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, Regression, load and performance)
• Identify risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure(Report, track and resolve defects in JIRA)
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, perform and document test execution results
• Write functional test cases in Postman collections.
• Develop and maintain a regression testing strategy for supported applications
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks
• Triage and help troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements:

• This is a hybrid position and based in our Sterling, Virginia office
• Over 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with both manual and automated testing
• 3+ years of experience in testing microservices and APIs
• Must have in-depth knowledge in Postman, ReadyAPI testing tools.
• 3+ years of experience writing and maintaining automated tests in Java
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Familiarity with working in an Agile environment
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider like Google or AWS
• Experience with source control systems like git and familiarity with CI/CD pipeline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills coupled with a strong team player presence
• Dedicated to champion the customer problem until resolution
• Excellent time management skills and a strong sense of urgency
• Experience supporting SaaS applications, Partner APIs, and API Documentation

• Prior experience working with payment systems
• Possess strong interpersonal communication skills and confidence to collaborate effectively with Clients, Development team, Technical Support team and Product team
• Have direct experience with testing microservices and Rest API’s
• You have in-depth knowledge in API Testing Tools (Postman, ReadyAPI, etc)
• Prior experience with Automated and performance testing
• Prior experience with Risk controls and compliance testing
