Job Abstract

Discover Where Good Grows at Bob Evans Restaurants! We are seeking a Catering Sales Manager to expand our catering business. The base compensation starts at $50K with earning potential up to $75K. This position is a hybrid/remote role reporting to New Albany, Ohio.

This position is responsible for managing the sales and promotion of catering initiatives for Bob Evans Restaurants. The Catering Sales Manager will increase revenue by acquiring new business while generating repeat business from existing guests. Other areas of responsibility include developing strategies to ensure we provide high-quality guest experiences. Success in this position will be measured by increasing the catering business sales through networking, business to business sales tactics and other marketing strategies.

Accountabilities:

1. Acts as a brand ambassador for Bob Evans Restaurants to generate catering sales and build
   relationships within the markets that we operate.
2. Drives lead generation strategy resulting in increased sales. Solicits and responds to inquiries
   regarding catering events.
3. Creates and executes the annual and quarterly catering plans.
4. Networks with communities to promote Bob Evans catering and to build external
   partnerships. Develops new and cultivates existing relationships with clients to drive additional
   catering orders.
5. Creates proposals and ensures that the client expectations are met.
6. Collaborates with the operations, culinary and marketing teams to develop catering processes and
   menu items. Assist teams with the implementation of new and refreshed catering offerings.
7. Research sources for developing prospective clients.
8. Manages our partnerships with Third Party catering services to ensure our sales and marketing
   strategies on those platforms are delivering expected sales and profits for Bob Evans
9. Perform analysis of the catering program while maintaining the P&L accountability.
10. All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

• Strong interpersonal, communication and research skills.

• Detailed oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Word, and Excel).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to work independently and within cross functional teams.

Education/Experience:

• Associate degree in hospitality or related field or combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in catering sales, management.
• Guest relations experience preferred.
