Job Abstract

Department: Inpatient Pharmacy, Work Hours: Full-Time. Various shifts between the hours of 6a and 10p, rotating weekends and holidays

Full time. Inpatient technicians job responsibilities include; compounding, stocking, repackaging and batching from bulk medications, preparing routine patient orders for IV pharmaceuticals including compounding, preparation and labeling of any IV admixture, restocking and inventory management of automated dispensing cabinets, along with other responsibilities as assigned.

As part of the patient care team, the pharmacy technician provides assistance to the pharmacist and requires a commitment to continually support pharmacy services in order to provide quality care and efficient operations while considering fiscal responsibility.

Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. A commensurate combination of education/experience will be considered.

Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Preferred:
Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician’s training program and one (1) year experience in Hospital Pharmacy Setting as a Pharmacy Technician.
