Job Purpose:
Our Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring the day-to-day operational activities for a team to ensure a competitive service advantage is achieved by maintaining a high degree of accuracy and customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
\u25CF Supervise various distribution center tasks to ensure all goods and supplies are shipped, received, stored, and recorded accurately following established procedures.
\u25CF Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and optimize cost effectiveness.
\u25CF Analyze the warehouse metrics and prepare reports and inventory control documents using \u25CF Microsoft Office and existing systems.
\u25CF Supervise and lead a team.
\u25CF Monitor and adjust employee schedules and workloads to enhance efficiencies and ensure high-priority tasks are achieved.
\u25CF Participate in the hiring process and management of distribution center staff.
\u25CF Ensure the highest level of customer service is being executed and develop methods to improve the quality of service for all employees, vendors, and suppliers.
\u25CF Motivate and hold the team accountable for achieving local and company goals.
\u25CF Maintain a culture of safety that follows the organization"s Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) policies to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to oneself and others in the workplace. Instruct the team in safe working methods and escalate serious issues as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
\u25CF Familiarity with mid-range and mainframe systems and Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus
\u25CF\u00A0Perform additional duties as required.
Salary Range: 79-88K
Work Experience:
\u25CF 3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.
\u25CF 3-5 years of related job experience.
\u25CF Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
\u25CF Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
\u25CF Professional safety, environmental, and DOT management experience. General knowledge of applicable safety, environmental. and DOT governmental regulations, specifically OSHA, EPA, and DOT and their applications if required.
\u25CF Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
\u25CF Warehouse experience required preferably working in a distribution environment.
Education:
\u25CF Associate/Bachelor"s Degree Preferred
\u25CF High School Diploma/GED
Working Conditions:
The work environment for this position requires:
\u25CF Regularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur.
\u25CF Exposure to loud noise.
\u25CF Exposure to dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.\u00A0
\u25CF Ability to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate (push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack.
\u25CF Walking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter.
\u25CF Sitting - sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment. \u00A0
\u25CF Lifting - lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance .
\u25CF Stooping - performed when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations. May bend at the waist.
\u25CF Kneeling - \u00A0kneel when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations.
