The Radiation Oncology Director will work at a premier 500-bed medical center near Washington, DC, and Baltimore, Maryland, Florida. The facility is the hub of a well-known national healthcare system and is closely aligned with a world-renowned cancer program.
The Director of Radiation Oncology is highly collaborative, working closely with Other Hospital directors, specifically within the multidisciplinary Oncology Service Line. The interdisciplinary approach is based on supportive, evidence-based holistic care. Staff members provide patient-centered and compassionate care, including radiation oncologists, nurses, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, physicists, social workers, and dietitians.
The new Oncology Leader will be an experienced Radiation Clinician. Both ARRTs and Dosimetrists will stand out. As will candidates with the following credentials: a bachelor's Degree, plus an MBA, MHA, MHSA, or related master's degrees. Previous experience in managing a Radiation Oncology Department, other similar hospital departments, or large business offices, as well as budgeting and personnel management knowledge, are also preferred. A candidate who can demonstrate an ability to maximize patient throughput while maintaining patient satisfaction will secure an interview with the Cancer Institute’s leadership.
The Administrative Director of Radiation Oncology Services will assume the authority and responsibility for the overall administrative function of the Radiation Oncology Department as assigned, including goals, outcomes, budget, HR, and regulatory compliance. They will support the Medical Director, Medical Physics Director, the Chief of Radiation Oncology, and the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Radiation Oncology. The Administrative Director will oversee all operations and pertinent activities within the department and serve as the administrative liaison to the Tumor site teams, cancer support services, Cancer Committee, and other Cancer Institute bodies.
