JOB OVERVIEW:
Joseph J. Peters Institute seeks a full-time Supervising Psychologist for its Survivor Services (SS) outpatient program. This staff person will perform Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluations (CBEs) and Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Re-evaluations (CBRs) as well as the administration and interpretation of psychological measures. The Psychologist will also provide clinical supervision/consultation for student interns and other assigned clinicians regarding evaluation and psychotherapy cases. This staff person will be responsible for providing the highest quality clinical services to JJPI participants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Comprehensive Bio-psychosocial Evaluations (CBE) and Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Re-evaluations (CBRs) or similar evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults in the JJPI Survivor Services outpatient program as part of a team and under the supervision of a psychologist.
Complete an average of 5 or more evaluations per week over a 44-week period.
Interview participants and other parties involved in participants’ care.
Administer psychometric measures and interpret results.
Write comprehensive evaluation reports in a timely fashion.
Submit reports no later than two weeks after the date of evaluation.
Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervision.
Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.
Adhere to JJPI’s standard operating procedures and policies for completing CRS paperwork, including submission of utilization reports at the end of each week.
Maintain compliance with guidelines and requirements of various funders.
Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment.
Complete and submit utilization reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week.
Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs.
Work with other staff to develop new treatment programs to promote the financial performance of the agency.
Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.
Provide clinical supervision to master’s level evaluators, student interns, and/or other clinicians on evaluations and therapy as needed, especially when primary evaluation supervisors are not available.
Provide administrative oversight, support, and input regarding the day-to-day logistics of intakes and evaluations. Work with the team to solve logistical problems as they arise and provide feedback and support for initiatives to improve workflow.
Ensure the timely and accurate submission of all evaluation-related paperwork by self and supervisees.
Ensure that evaluation reports are submitted within 14 days of intake appointments.
Supervise the Survivor Services clinic one evening each week.
Provide on-call services once every 8-10 weeks (on-call for one full week at a time).
Provide input into new programs and work to implement more effective methods of delivering services.
Assist in developing and maintaining a referral network.
Understand the impact of evaluation caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency.
Understand the payment source of each participant.
Complete all forms required for submission of bills for services in a timely manner.
SKILLS:
Excellent interviewing, assessment, and writing skills
Ability to function as part of an assessment team consisting of supervising psychologists and psychiatrists
Ability to meet timelines
Preferred: Training in the provision of evidence-based treatment to trauma survivors
LICENSE: Licensure as a psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania
EDUCATION: Doctoral degree in a field related to clinical work
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Significant clinical experience with survivors of sexual, interpersonal, or other forms of trauma
SALARY GRADE: 22
