Responsibilities:
Operate all forklifts with a rated capacity of up to 125,000 lbs.
Perform daily inspection on forklift(s) with capacity rating up to 125,000 lbs.
Initiate request for repairs and maintenance for any problems found with the lift(s).
Load and unload spools onto / from foundations and place them in required locations.
Transport steel strip material to requested location(s).
Load and unload spools, strings, material, equipment, etc. onto / from trucks and customer reel units as directed.
Maintain a clean and organized lift / work area.
Perform rigging for loading / unloading of spools, reels, equipment for twin lift and mobile lift crane.
Operate the spool up-ender and down lay spools/strings.
Comply with all applicable safety requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is preferred.
Six months related experience and/or training in a related field.
Experience operating twin-lift crane, rigging and signaling cranes, ground guiding, and refueling forklifts.
Use of general hand-tools.
