Summary
Lincoln Electric is seeking a Robotic Automation Engineering Technologist for our Euclid, OH headquarters. The primary function of a Robotic Automation Engineering Technologist is to implement and support automated processes to drive improvements in safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost reductions. The role heavily focuses on hands on implementation and support of robotic solutions that often integrate with other types of equipment and at times involve non-robotic automation.

What You Will Do:
Technical Support: Offer technical support for existing robotic and automated cells, adeptly troubleshooting issues and refining processes for optimal performance.
Robot Programming: Technical expert programming robots and providing mentorship to colleagues
Documentation: Develop procedures, documentation, routings, and other essential materials to streamline the manufacturing process and ensure consistency.
Solution Identification: Identify opportunities for implementing robotic and automated solutions to enhance manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to conceptualize, design, size, and quote new automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Project Management: Lead projects for the implementation of new robotic and automated systems, from conception to execution, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
Customized Design: Utilize Solid Edge to design customized fixturing and workholding solutions for automated systems, optimizing functionality and efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across departments, engaging with stakeholders at all levels (production to executive) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in handling diverse assignments and shifting priorities, maintaining efficiency and effectiveness in a dynamic work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Apply analytical problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset to tackle real-world challenges and drive operational excellence.
Required Experience & Education

Level III: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline from an accredited college, with a minimum of 5 + years of relevant work experience; alternatively, Associate Degree in related field with 7 + years of related experience possess; OR 15+ years of hands-on experience in robotic automation.

Level IV: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline from an accredited college, with a minimum of 9+ years of relevant work experience; alternatively, Associate Degree in related field with 11 + years of related experience.

Demonstrated expertise in implementing robotic and automated solutions, with advanced programming skills and the ability to handle complex routines.

Proven experience at programming robots and can perform higher level programming for more complex routines such as auto recovery.

Possess and apply strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach and attention to detail. Ability to apply continuous improvement methodology to solve real world problems.

Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a knack for higher-level functions.

Broad knowledge of engineering and scientific principles, practices, and procedures, applied effectively in practical settings.

CAD Experience: Solid modeling experience (CAD) with the ability to conceptualize and design components for automated solutions.

Experience with Fanuc robotic programming and/or robotic welding preferred
