In this position you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing each incoming appeal then determining the proper location and type of hearing, telephone or in person, in accordance with applicable UC regulations. This includes determining which issues of law are involved in each hearing, identifying the parties involved, scheduling hearings, and responding to required correspondence. You will also organize appeal casefiles, transcribe referee decisions from digital recordings, and process other paperwork and electronic data required for cases as well as assist with other office support tasks as needed. Effective communication skills are essential for handling client inquiries by various means and maintaining confidentiality of appeal records. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work hours are negotiable.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week after successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Lancaster.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
• One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
