The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution at Phoenix is seeking a highly motivated Licensed Psychologist to join our team! As a Licensed Psychologist for the Department of Corrections, you will have an opportunity to offer psychological services for the inmate population at your assigned institution. Your responsibilities will encompass administering, scoring, and interpreting a battery of psychological tests. You will also be responsible for providing information, evaluations, monitoring, and supporting severely mentally ill inmates and those in need of crisis intervention and plan development. These responsibilities are paramount in guiding inmates toward recovery and personal development, particularly amidst difficult circumstances. In addition, you will perform individual and group psychotherapy, as well as screening inmates for psychiatric services and other mental health services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

• You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology.
• As an employee in the Department of Corrections, you must obtain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification within two months of hire and maintain it for the duration of employment in the job.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
