Position Summary:
Incumbent will collaborate with providers and ancillary departments to provide care to an assigned group of patients focusing on meeting the clinical needs of the patient. Performs professional nursing duties that incorporate the psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other to assess, plan, intervene and advocate for the patient. Will evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of plan of care, and readiness for discharge and revise plan or make referrals as necessary. Serves as a role model to the clinic staff. Assists in developing patient education for the assigned clinic.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $77.11 Midpoint $77.11 Maximum $77.11
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months demonstrated nursing experience
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 30 days of hire
Minimum 1 year experience working with pediatric patients
Current California RN license
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
1 year recent nursing Emergency Room or Urgent Care experience
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Licenses and Certifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support(Required)
Basic Life Support(Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Supp(Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements present in an acute care setting
Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
