Business Development Manager, Wipro Ventures Wipro Ventures (www.wipro.com/ventures) is the strategic investment arm of Wipro. We were founded in early 2015 and our offices are in Mountain View, in the heart of Silicon Valley. We invest in early- to mid-stage startups developing disruptive solutions in the enterprise software segment. We have active partnerships with our portfolio companies and work closely with them on go-to-market initiatives. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support the above go-to-market activities. An ideal candidate will be someone with experience in Partner Channel Management in the Start-up ecosystem and Sales/Pre-sales in association with Delivery/ Practice organizations. This role will report into the Partner, Business Development at Wipro Ventures. The preferred location for this role is in Mountain View, California, USA. Roles & Responsibilities: High-level Activities and Role Description · Manage GTM and Lead Generation Activities The candidate will be responsible for Go-to-Market activities for the Wipro Ventures’ portfolio companies. He/she/they will work with Wipro Sales teams and the Investment Sponsors to develop the sales funnel through webinars, one-on-one interactions and connects with startup field sales teams. He/she/they will support lead qualification and diligent follow-ups. He/she/they will be responsible for generating sufficient pipeline to meet the targets defined for the year. · Support Pre-sales Engagements He/she/they should be self-driven, be adept at multi-tasking, understand the solutions and use cases, and conduct first-level customer connects along with our field sales teams as necessary. Technical competence, consultative approach and positive attitude are a must to build trust and relationships with field sales. Qualifications: · Ensure Customer Success The candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer success for startup solutions deployed by our clients. This includes working with the relevant stakeholders within Wipro, our clients, and the startups to ensure successful deployment and adoption of the solutions. He/she/they will work to drive customer satisfaction, help customers derive the promised value from the deployed solutions, and work with the practice teams to create upsell and cross-sell opportunities. He/she/they will work with Marketing to capture customer success stories to be shared with the field and customer references when possible. · Portfolio Relationship Governance He/she/they will also be responsible for the day-to-day governance of the relationship with the startups. This includes activities, like initial onboarding, getting signoff for legal agreements, deal registration, managing training sessions, coordinating sales connect between startup field sales and Wipro sales across geos and helping resolve sales-related issues. He/she will be responsible for leading bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly governance meetings between the startup’s management and Wipro’s practices teams. hments.
