Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Executive Director, Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) for the Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) department of the Student Services and Programs division. The job of Executive Director, Juvenile Court and Community Schools, is done for the purpose/s of serving as a chief executive officer of the district (JCCS); providing leadership in the development in high quality instructional programs and in the operation and management of the JCCS program; and ensuring accreditation of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
ABOUT JCCS:
SDCOE's Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) provide a fully accredited educational program for school-age youth who are either wards of the court or have been referred by social services, probation, or one of the 42 school districts in San Diego County. Services are provided to students who are incarcerated, pregnant or parenting, in foster care, expelled, chronically truant, in drug treatment centers and group homes for neglected or abused children, and experiencing homelessness.

Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires:
Education and Experience:
Experience: Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in the senior leadership at a site, district, or county office. An applicant must evidence a proven track record of innovative and effective leadership experience including fiscal oversight experience; and
Education: A master's degree in educational leadership, business management or related field.

Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a master's degree in educational leadership, business management or related field and five (5) years progressively responsible experience in the senior leadership at a site, district, or county office. An applicant must evidence a proven track record of innovative and effective leadership experience including fiscal oversight experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Credentials:
- Valid Administrative Services Credential
- Valid CA Driver’s License
