This Director role is responsible for incubating, developing and engaging an ecosystem of humans to serve as storytellers to communicate about our brands’ key campaigns, brand moments, products, cause and purpose initiatives, and more. Successful candidates in this role will drive revenue, achieve vast reach and scale, inspire conversations in social feeds and earned press. Brand advocacy is a corporate pillar that is integrated into the success and future of all of our brands, delivering on a 9-digit Revenue target, thousands of advocates and billions in reach. What Will You Be Doing? Participation in the seasonal brand planning process as a subject matter expert in brand communications and creator marketingDevelop and execute comprehensive brand advocacy strategies aligned with brand and company goalsOversee influencer marketing campaigns, from strategy development to execution and performance analysis, some managed internally and some supported with external agenciesOversee affiliate marketing programs, fostering relationships with partners to drive brand visibility and meaningful sales and business outcomes, with both individuals, platforms, and editorial affiliatesDirect brand public relations initiatives, including media relations, press releases, and crisis management; develop and maintain media relationships as it pertains to brand press and media that matterPlan and execute impactful events and activations that enhance brand presence and customer engagementHeavily coordinate with social channels to ensure alignment for engagement and posting strategiesWork closely with media team to ensure maximized efforts around talent and usage are being worked through paid channelsCollaborate cross-functionally with other marketing partners, merchandising, design, etc. to ensure cohesive brand messaging as well as to ensure creator marketing deliverables and assets are integrated into other brand channels and propertiesCollaborate intimately with legal, tax, finance, and corporate communications to adhere to brand and company standards and policiesMonitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for continued growth and evolution of brand advocacy strategies and tacticsUnderstand how to navigate and identify whitespace at the intersection of brand culture and creators to build distinct and innovative marketing strategiesManage a team of 10+ associates of varying levels with a high-level of oversight, drive, and transparencyWhat Do You Need To Bring? Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related fieldProven experience (10+ years) in a senior marketing role with deep, proven experience in these disciplines; some retail experience strongly preferredProof of experience in managing significant scale of brand advocacy programmingAn ability to manage a lot at one time, across disciplines, team members, brands, tactics and seasonsDemonstrated success in developing and implementing campaigns that drive Traffic and Revenue, as well as Brand Awareness and Customer AcquisitionUnderstanding of Gen Z/the global high school teen and Millenials/late 20-somethingsStrong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levelsA comfort in communicating with leaders of the organization to report on performance, present new strategies, and manage through company communicationsStrategic thinker with the ability to analyze data to drive decision-makingCreative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment Experience and comfort in detailed budget management and forecastingExperience in managing multiple vendor/partner relationships Our Company Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
