The Human Resources Supervisor accrues executive leave (27 hours per quarter) on top of regular annual leave.

A seasoned professional adept at crafting and executing policies, bringing extensive expertise in all core principles and practices of Human Resources, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of General Law City Government.
Proven ability to lead a team with finesse.
Knowledge & Education
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in human resources management, public personnel administration, or a related field.
Familiarity with all fundamental principles and practices of Human Resources, specifically in the Council-Manager form of government.
Knowledge of safety and non-safety investigatory techniques and best practices.
Skills/Abilities
Highly developed Human Resources investigation techniques and best practices for both safety and non-safety personnel matters;
Expert in employee and employer relations; recruitment and selection, and benefits administration;
Assessing programs and processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and performance;
Effectively managing/juggling a wide range of assigned projects and priorities from start to finish with little supervision while ensuring appropriate check-ins to report on progress;
Making sound decisions, exercising resourcefulness, and prioritizing tasks to meet a variety of demands;
Analyzing, interpreting, and reporting out on research findings and recommendations in concise, usable formats well-tailored to the intended audience;
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to present ideas concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing;
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with City management, co-workers, employees, and the general public
Experience
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human resources management, contract administration, strategic planning, and budgeting practices, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
The position is At-Will and FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime compensation.
