Job Summary
The Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Director of Business Services. Candidate should have working knowledge of financial transactions and financial systems, as well as related policy, accounting and regulatory compliance requirements. Strong knowledge of California School Finance, state and federal procedures for reporting at a County Office of Education level. Ability to coach staff on skill and career development. In this capacity, the Senior Director may supervise one or more of the managers assigned to the Internal Business Services department.
The Position
Under the direction of the Assistant or Deputy Superintendent, Business Services Department, supervises the Marin County Office of Education internal fiscal services department. In this capacity, the Senior Director supervises the managers assigned to the internal department, comprised of 10 staff, and oversight of the $50 million budget. Responsible for the selection, employment, training, performance management and evaluation, motivation, counseling, and discipline of assigned employees.
