LinQuest is seeking a Network and Telecommunications Circuit Planner in Chantilly VA. Hybrid work arrangements are possible. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
This position will manage the execution of the Terrestrial Network infrastructure, including circuits testing and acceptance.
You will be responsible for managing terrestrial circuits and connections to gov cloud delivery and escalations. You will support the planning, ordering, coordination and tracking of network and telecom WAN circuits and fiber path architectures of DoD networks and contribute to all aspects of the network infrastructure life cycle (concept, development, integration, qualification, acceptance, delivery, and maintenance).
This role requires timely decision making in collaboration with all stakeholders to troubleshoot performance and scalability issues related to circuits. You will participate in a multi-functional engineering team environment to develop and integrate hardware, software, and network technology for products and systems. You must be able to communicate effectively upstream and downstream teams to define key requirements associated with terrestrial network connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing the role of technical lead for Ground Systems development, including supporting integration efforts across multiple space vehicle vendors, and establishing the ground systems architecture and designs.
- Provide systems engineering guidance in the development of test and evaluation plans, system verification plans, and other systems engineering processes and documents
- Providing recommendations on systems integration and engineering baseline changes and assessing the technical maturity and risk of development projects
- Assist Government personnel with potential solutions across a wide variety of multi-domain, tactical, and mission area applications, including ground entry point acquisitions, operations center set up and maintenance, and ground software solutions.
- Develop CONOPs and operational plans at both the system and mission enterprise levels.
- Coordinate development efforts with, and provide strategic advice as well as technical guidance to DoD and non-DoD agencies.
- Assist with system and subsystem design analysis, assembly, integration and testing, and data reduction of proposed technical solutions and formulating evaluation criteria of those solutions.
- Attending project meetings and reviews to include technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and program management reviews.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineer, systems engineering, physics, or a closely related field from an accredited university
- 15+ years of experience in systems engineering
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead cross technical engineering teams in design and development projects with external customer deliverables.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the DoD or Intelligence Community
- Network + and Security + CompTIA Certifications
- Experience working with commercial and/or Government satellite systems and ground systems
- Experience as a lead or of a large ground network or terrestrial comm infrastructure project or ground station project
- Experience with ground system software and hardware
- Experience with ground station antenna systems
- Connectivity to Cloud Service Providers
