The Role
As the National Tennis Center Head Pro of Junior Development, you will play a key role in facilitating group programming and lesson delivery, leading and training staff tennis professionals, and assisting in event management. You will serve as a liaison between the NTC, our customers, and external organizations while coordinating professional development for tennis professionals.
- Lead Junior Programming in a balanced, on-court capacity.
- Supervise assigned NTC Tennis Professionals in Junior and Adult programs to ensure lessons and programs meet standards set by the Director of Tennis Operations.
- Implement creative programming concepts to enhance junior pathway progression.
- Lead junior seasonal camps and NTC-specific junior delivery.
- Plan, generate, and maintain documents such as agendas, lesson plans, and progress reports.
- Train and lead tennis professionals in standard methodologies for junior tennis delivery.
- Integrate USTA Coach Developer methodology and assist with staff trainings at the NTC.
- Co-manage weekend tennis staff and meetings in collaboration with the Lead Pro - Adults and Director of Tennis Operations.
- Conduct group clinics and private instruction for all players, with an emphasis on juniors.
- Assist with event and tournament hosting as assigned.
- Develop and coordinate a robust Junior Team Tennis Program for all levels of junior players.
- Integrate USTA junior and adult strategic priorities into on-court programming.
- Promote the USTA through excellent customer service, hospitality, and goodwill.
- Specialize in a range of tennis industry junior pathways.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- Demonstrates a high level of tennis playing competence, on-court delivery skills, and the ability to optimally communicate and instruct tennis to all levels and ages.
- Must be able to demonstrate or present innovative instructing methods.
- Exhibits excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and lead Tennis Professionals.
- Experienced in coordinating and leading multiple junior pathways from player introduction to playing opportunities.
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Certification by PTR and/or USPTA is required prior to the start.
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
- Position is considered exempt and onsite.
- Full-time instructing professionals are expected to work at least 35 hours per week, including a minimum of 28 on-court hours, scheduled through the Court Reserve booking system.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $110,000 - $125,000.
This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
