POSITION DETAILS
The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time Maintenance Worker II position in our Maintenance and Operations Department. As a Maintenance Worker II, you will be tasked with performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance, construction, electrical and repair work. You may also perform tasks in support of other trades within the District.
Working hours are from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (day shift) Monday through Friday. This career opportunity is an 8-hour/day, 12-month position with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation: Job-specific skills are typically acquired by completion of apprenticeship or training/coursework in one or more trade areas.
Experience: Any combination equivalent to four (4) years of experience in performing general building maintenance work supplemented by training or experience to demonstrate the ability to perform skilled-level work in two or more of the building maintenance trades.
OTHERLicenses: Possession of a valid California Driver's License and insurability to drive a District vehicle as part of the District’s Pull Notice program is required.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview.
To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If the Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be one year. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill future vacancies.

The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date.
