Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I
Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist I demonstrates technical proficiency in basic Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and equipment; applies anatomical and physiological knowledge to proficiently assist the Cardiologist with providing cardiac patient care.
Licensure and Certification:
- CRT license and Fluoroscopy license required.
- Registered as ARRT required
- Current BLS provider card
- ACLS provider card within 6 months of hire
Education:
- Completion of JCERT approved school for Radiology Technologist
Experience:
- Experience with cardiac catheterization or vascular interventional procedures preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of patient anatomy and physiology, radiation safety, and radiographic equipment use.
- Ability to scrub as needed during basic cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional catheterizations.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills

- Ability to work flexible schedules as needed
Physical Demands – Patient Care:
- Continuous standing/walking and occasional/intermittent sitting.
- Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and shoulder level to handle/operate medical equipment/devices.
- Frequent reaching above shoulder level and overhead.
- Frequent forward bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling; occasional climbing.
- Occasional repositioning and transferring patients weighing up to 200 pounds between bed, chair, and gurney.
- Occasional lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional/intermittent pushing of gurneys, wheelchairs, bed and other medical equipment over tiled and carpeted surfaces.
- Continuous use of near vision to read medical equipment such as monitoring devices and reading documents and computer screens; hearing and verbal communication to interact with patients, co-workers, and other customers.

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist II plays multiple roles on the Cardiac Cath Lab team as the Cardiovascular technologist or the Monitor/Recorder during Cardiac Catheterization procedures. In both roles demonstrates technical proficiency in all Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and equipment; applies anatomical and physiological knowledge to proficiently assist the Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist with providing cardiac patient care. As the Monitor/Recorder, maintains good communication with the Cath Lab team to ensure proper equipment set up, accurate monitoring, and quality data collection.
Licensure and Certification:
- CRT license and Fluoroscopy license required.
- Registered as ARRT required
- Current BLS provider card
- Current ACLS provider card
Education:
- Completion of JCERTapproved School for Radiology Technologist.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years recent hospital cardiac catheterization procedures plus experience in vascular interventions.

- Specialty certification preferred (ARRT-CI or RCIS)
- Current BLS provider card
- Current ACLS provider card
Education:
- Completion of JCERT approved school for Radiology Technologist
- One of the following:
- ARRT advanced certificate Cardiac Interventional (CI)
- Fully cross trained and competent to vascular interventional & Competent to assist with/teach Structural Heart Procedures
- Fully cross trained and competent to vascular interventional & Competent to assist with/teach Electro Physiology procedures
Experience:
