Job Abstract

Growth equals opportunity here at Crane! With that, we have an excellent opportunity for a Tax Analyst to join our Corporate Tax Team! This role will report to the Manager, State Taxes and is eligible for a flexible work arrangement.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in preparing federal, state and local tax returns.
• Gather, consolidate and reconcile state apportionment data.
• Assist with the preparation of OneSource tax calendar.
• Prepare federal, state and local quarterly estimated tax payments.
• Assist with the administration and completion of domestic tax audits.
• Support utilization of domestic/international elements of tax compliance software.
• Perform various domestic federal and state tax projects as assigned.
• Identify process improvements and propose ideas for streamlining processes and reporting procedures.
• Establish and maintain relationships with various personnel at the Executive Office, including Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Human Resources and finance personnel at the business unit locations.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Prior domestic tax experience preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Advanced degree and / or certified public accountant qualification desirable.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office, tax and accounting software to accomplish tasks. Prior experience with OneSource and HFM preferred, but not required.
• Solid and effective interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Able to work alone and as part of a team. Expresses one’s ideas and actively participates in group discussions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Highly organized self-starter.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both oral and written.
