Job Abstract

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The biostatistician provides as needed support to the Clinical, Bioinstrumentation, and Advanced Clinical departments by compiling data and performing statistical comparisons of data to determine the significance of any differences to determine treatment effects or safety.

1. Compile data and creation of tables for clinical, bioinstrumentation, microbiology studies and other studies for which the collected data requires statistical analysis.

2. Apply mathematical and statistical knowledge to the design of protocols, surveys and analysis plans.

3. Process and analyzing data collected in clinical studies, such as grading scores or instrumental measurements.

4. Prepare reports that summarize the analysis of research data, interpret findings and provide conclusions and recommendations.

5. Interact with Principal Investigators, Client Services, Project Managers, Technical Writers and Quality Assurance Auditors to recommend appropriate analyses and study design and to assure an accurate summary of the statistical methods and interpretation of analyses performed.

6. Consults with clients on study design, statistical approach, and final analysis when requested.

7. Writing and/or reviewing of statistical methods in clinical study protocols, incorporating specifications of the Principal Investigator and study Sponsor.
