The Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis provides enterprise level leadership and oversight to drive growth, profitability, return on capital and free cash flow. The role serves as a key partner to business unit leaders in driving accountability and effectiveness and includes managing a team tasked with providing value-added analysis and reporting. The Vice President of FP&A plays a lead role in various strategic initiatives, including operational excellence and new capital investments. In conjunction with these efforts, the Vice President of FP&A will work across-functional groups, at both the business unit and corporate levels, to drive accountability, insightful analysis, and efficiency. In addition, the role provides leadership over the enterprise Procurement function.
The role is based in Broadview Heights, OH and reports to the Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to this position are the Procurement Director and the Senior Manager of Corporate FP&A.
Essential Functions:
Lead the annual budget, long-term strategic planning, and periodic forecasting processes
Lead the Capital Review Committee; manage the standards and define the processes to support the analysis, prioritization, review, and delivery of commitments
Partner with the CEO and CFO in the preparation of Board of Directors and Executive Committee materials
Ensure the right processes and metrics are in place to drive accountability and support the delivery of results for Revenue, EBITDA, EBIT, Net Income, EPS, Return on Capital, and Free Cash Flow
Provide critical analysis and input to the Quarterly Earnings process
Partner with the businesses and the Chief Information Officer in the development of the Analytics strategy
Develop insightful analysis, in collaboration with the business segments, that enhances near term and long-term performance
Collaborate on M&A analysis and integration management for tuck-in acquisition targets, as needed
Partner with Corporate functional leaders in the establishment and management of budgets and forecasts
Lead the advancement of the Procurement function strategy to increase enterprise impact
Team Growth and Development:
Manage team resources effectively, including budget, time, and people
Ensure team structure is aligned to the overall vision for the global finance team
Foster a positive team culture and build strong working relationships among team members
Set performance expectations and goals for team members and provide regular feedback on individual and team performance
Identify and support the professional development needs of team members; encourage continuous learning and skill development
Provide mentorship and coaching to direct team as well as others in the organization
Finance Leadership Team:
Serve as a high impact member of the CFO leadership team
Contribute to the development of the global finance team in alignment with our vision
Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives
Develop action plans to achieve short-term and long-term objective
Communicate the vision and goals to team members, ensuring everyone understands their role in achieving them
Qualifications (Education, Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
Minimum of 10 years progressive financial roles in a complex, multi-national environment
Mix of business unit and corporate level FP&A experience
Strong broad-based financial acumen
Self-starter who will get into the details and build structure in our dynamic environment
Experience in a matrix reporting environment – strong relationship orientation, influential and collaborative
Experience building and leading strong, diverse finance teams
Experience with business intelligence tools
ERP knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One, Advanced working knowledge of HFM required and experience
