Accountable for providing guidance, counsel, insights and analysis on commodities hedging P&L to ensure high quality decision making and a strong controls environment.\u00A0 Responsibilities include governance and control, reporting, analysis and planning of commercial commodities demand, commodities hedging gains & losses, and forecasting P&L impact for a global group of Commodities that are part of the hedging portfolio. This includes but is not limited to global cocoa, global sugar and grains hedging programs for global segments.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor\u2019s in finance, Economics, or related
- Understanding of general accounting concepts; knowledge of debits/credits, assets/liabilities, Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics systems (Alteryx, Tableau, MS Power Platform, Excel) with implementation experience preferred.
- Strong experience in financial reporting and treasury management systems (SAP, HFM, FIS Quantum)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, handle large data sets, and standardize data and create workflows.
- Proven effectiveness in project management, individual contributions, and team collaboration
- Experience working within a team environment, including with individuals in various geographic locations.
- Agile, curious, and proactive thinker to explore, design, implement, and train others in innovative digital solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Serve as the Finance partner to the Commercial\u00A0and Commercial Finance teams for segment across all North America, Europe and Asia Pacific business units providing a single point of contact for all reporting metrics, commodity hedge results and accounting queries globally.
- Responsible for journal entry, reconciliation and maintaining GL accounts regarding hedging gains and losses, deferred gains and losses, and broker payable/receivable at period close along with the subsequent reporting and analysis related to all commodities hedging P&L.
- Calculates and issues commodities cover and performance reports for stakeholders and senior business leaders across multiple functions and is able to analyze and share insights.
- Responsible for using insights derived from understanding of the commodity risk management process to support ensuring a high quality and robust controls environment is in place over all activity and ensuring well established and robust relationships are in place with the business and all stakeholders.
