We’re seeking an experienced Head of Sponsorship and Ticketing to join us in our mission. Reporting to the President, this individual will play an essential role in driving revenue growth and overall success for our Club. The ideal candidate will want to lead and drive women’s sports forward, articulating and driving value through our unique sponsorship model and working with the team to create impactful programs.
The Head of Sponsorship and Ticketing will oversee and execute sales strategies to deliver on revenue targets, work closely with partners and vendors to drive impact and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class fan experience in the stadium and beyond. This individual will also work in partnership with the executive team and ownership to define and execute the club’s business strategy, including new revenue streams and growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage sponsorship and ticketing departments to drive revenue growth, in-line with the company’s objectives and growth targets.
- Set and execute on the sponsorship growth strategy, including acquisition of new partners, development of new products, oversight of activation programs, and renewal of existing partners.
- Build new types of innovative partnerships and inventory aligned with Angel City’s growth mindset and culture.
- Set and execute on the ticketing strategy, including growth of the fanbase, renewals, pricing, new packages/products, and broader fan engagement initiatives.
- Establish key performance metrics and use data-driven insights to assess and report on the club’s revenue performance, and partner with the President and executive team to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Participate in contract negotiations with partners and sponsorship/ticketing vendors.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners to ensure that new needs are considered in product development and improvement cycles.
- Create unifying processes to offer fans and partners a cohesive, best-in-class experience.
- Partner with the marketing and finance teams to deliver on communications, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and new products that will enable revenue growth and drive customer experience.
- Build and foster creative teams that are committed to our culture of innovation.
- Communicate and build relationships with organizational functions to collaborate on revenue initiatives in other departments (e.g., events, merchandise).
- Develop leaders within the ticketing and sponsorship teams to develop and support our team members to become our next leaders.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in revenue-focused leadership roles in sports or sports-adjacent industries, with demonstrated success in driving and implementing business growth.
- Proven track record of driving revenue outcomes through new product, marketing, branding, and fan experience initiatives.
- Prior experience managing a team and P&L, from developing a strategic plan through to executing on P&L and operating KPIs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with partners and stakeholders.
- Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.
- Results-oriented, especially in the long term.
- Knowledge of and continued interest in industry trends.
- A data-driven mindset that uses business analytics to inform decision-making.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, including some international travel.
- Preferably based in LA. Otherwise will need to spend significant time in market.

Compensation
In addition to the benefits above, this role has a base pay between $200k and $250k, with an annual bonus structure.
