Our Fairfax team is currently looking for a Commissioning Agent (with a background in the Water Wastewater industry) to join our growing team!

Principal Responsibilities and essential functions

• Develop detailed Commissioning Plans by system, sub-system and/or by equipment pursuant to the contract requirements and acquire timely approval from the Owner
• Hold start-up/commissioning meetings with key subs in the Owner’s presence at least 6 months prior to energization - ramp up to bi-weekly then weekly as we get closer to that date.
• Coordinate with all authorities, having jurisdiction, during commissioning testing and resolve issues expeditiously to meet schedule
• Review all relevant submittals per contract requirements and coordinate with Quality Control Manager to resolve issues promptly to meet Schedule.
• Track and coordinate timely submission of all prerequisite deliverables to meet ready to test requirements
• Publish and update a Commissioning schedule as part of the Commissiong Plan
• Manage the Commissioning process from Ready to test through Reliability Demonstration testing and turnover to the Owner via the Substantial and/or Incremental Substantial Completion process.
• Coordinate maintenance activities on new equipment until formal turnover to the Owner via the Substantial Completion process
• Keep track of commissioning outstanding issues list and coordinate with Owner and Engineer to promptly resolve commissioning issues.
• Meet all commissioning requirements as indicated in each Contract Specification Sections

The qualifications you will need

Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in testing and starting -up wastewater facilities including, electrical, PICS and SCADA systems
• Experience with projects over $8million dollars
