NYTech’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, seeks a Research Assistant/Research Technician (part time), to work in the Office of Biomedical Sciences at the Old Westbury (Long Island, NY) campus.

Conduct 3D bioprinting experiments using various printers.

Assist with various aspects of digital pathology research: scanning, analysis, data storage and evaluation.

Perform cutting tissue sections, fixation into formalin; paraffine embedding; tissue dehydration, tissue dehydration, staining of slides (HE/IHC).

Perform cell cultures and PCR testing as required.

Maintain the research laboratory equipment in a proper state.

Perform inventory of supplies and place orders for consumables.

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical/Health/Biomedical Science from an accredited US or international academic institution with a thorough understanding of basic morphological sciences including Anatomy, Histology and Pathology.

Preferred Degrees: Masters’, MD, or DO.

Required Field of Expertise in Anatomy, Cell Biology, 3D Additive Manufacturing.

Demonstrated project management skills, including developing and implementing SOPs, and possess comprehensive technical knowledge.

Basic molecular and histology knowledge is required.
