Marketing Manager
Alliance Defending Freedom of looking far a Marketing Manager to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ or Lansdowne, VA office. As the Marketing Manager, you are a vital part of the Marketing Communications Team. In this role, you report to the VP of Marketing and will be responsible for developing strategic plans to grow and maintain engagement with ADF’s audiences, donors, and prospects. You will act as a liaison with the Center for Academic Freedom, Freedom of Religion, ADF International, and Development teams. You will offer full-service marketing and branding support to these teams, aiding them in accomplishing diverse goals and initiatives. You will work collaboratively with other teams and channel owners to execute your strategic vision.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Participate in meetings with your portfolio clients to gain insights into complex cases and their goals; translate these insights into actionable marketing and branding plans
- Manage a budget, ensuring that your strategic plans are maximized for determined ROI
- Work closely with legal and constituent communications teams to develop advocacy resources that resonate with our audience and ministry friends
- Create effective strategies to optimize ROI for sponsored events within your client portfolio
- Develop and execute marketing strategy for sponsored events and travel to key sponsored events to ensure the seamless execution of your plans
- Utilize data, along with primary and secondary research, to make informed decisions and achieve your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- You will construct and update reports on overall campaign/event performance and audience engagement

- Marketing concepts, such as unique selling proposition, target audience, social proof, and persuasion
- Digital marketing and advertising tools and strategies
- Response marketing channels, such as search, email, website, social media, display, direct mail, and telemarketing
- Primary and secondary research
- Advocacy campaign trends
Demonstrated proficiency in:
- The content/product development process
- Content marketing
Ability to:
- Distill complex legal concepts into user-friendly content that will improve the quality of life for our audience
- Develop strategic plans and tactics to achieve brand and marketing goals

- Work effectively in a cross-functional team environment without direct authority

- Prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
Education and/or experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is required, an MBA is preferred
- 5 years of product development, marketing, advertising, or related experience required
- Non-profit experience preferred
