Job Overview
The Associate Director on the Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns (CPRC) team supports the mission of Georgetown University by fostering lifelong engagement between alumni and Georgetown, and by increasing philanthropic support for the university’s future. The CPRC team works with over 800 alumni volunteers to increase class-based engagement and giving through peer-to-peer outreach. CPRC is, as a whole, responsible for establishing class fundraising goals, recruiting and developing volunteers, identifying donors, hosting world-class signature events (Homecoming Weekend and Reunion Weekend), and engaging alumni and students in class-based fundraising an engagement.
The Associate Director manages class engagement and giving strategies for five undergraduate alumni classes, and are also a part of the team responsible for strengthening and growing the overall class volunteer program, including the strategies for volunteer recruitment, resources, and stewardship.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage volunteers for five undergraduate alumni class committees
- Develop internal & external fundraising and engagement goals & strategies for all classes managed
- Tailor and implement engagement and solicitation strategies for each class
- Conduct semi-complex analysis of class performance
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
Reporting to the Director of Class Programs and Reunion Campaigns, the Associate Director is an integral part of the CPRC team, which is responsible for strengthening and growing the overall class volunteer program, including the strategies for volunteer recruitment, resources, and stewardship.
Toward their duties, they necessarily apply strong interpersonal skills, exemplary communication and time management skills, attention to detail, and an interest in higher education or non-profit philanthropy. They use phone, written correspondence, and personal interactions that occur with University staff as well as with external constituents.
This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a development/fundraising environment
