As a Strategic Projects Executive Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of Strategy and Operations Leads, Executive Associates and Associates to manage high-profile strategic projects on growth strategy, transformation, execution, organization health and strategic planning. In this role, you will also influence global and cross-region to identify Projects, develop cross-project capabilities that can be re-used on an ongoing basis, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to solicit partner support. You will be a key thought partner to the Strategy and Sales Programs Director.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$261,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. - Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Americas Large Customer Sales (ALCS), Go-To-Market, Marketing, Finance, Legal, gTech, Cloud to identify key strategic questions and translate long-term goals and strategy into defined projects.
- Partner with Strategic Project Director and Principal Leads to select projects and staff team capacity to lead projects that optimize ALCS operating structure and resource allocation and/or aimed to streamline cross-functional collaboration for faster execution.
- Lead strategic projects that are operationally intensive and cross-functional, requiring a dedicated Program Management Office to ensure there is structure and timely delivery of project goals.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators and timelines for each project, regular metrics reporting, that tie back to strategic goals, and post-implementation impact analysis.
- Develop best practices, templates, and tools specific to each strategic domain that can be utilized for future initiatives.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 4 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
- 4 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in technical, quantitative, or business fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory.
- Experience leading teams, with a focus on coaching and mentoring, and demonstrated success developing team members.
- Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives, with excellent problem-solving skills and effective business acumen.
- Ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders/partners and influence executive decision making, while navigating complex organizational dynamics.
- Excellent investigative skills, with the ability to work on large data sets.
