Marketing Content Specialist
Position Summary:
As part of our Home Entertainment Consumer Marketing division, we are seeking a talented and experienced Copy & Creative Governance Lead to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and stewarding brand messaging and copy for the Home Entertainment (HE) division, which is comprised of TV, Home Audio, and Memory businesses. As a highly experienced messaging and copy lead, you will be responsible for overseeing both consumer marketing copy (i.e. advertising copy) as well as messaging toolkit development (i.e. feature/product messaging) that will be leveraged across all marketing assets and channels, such as Paid Media, Channel/Retail, CRM, Organic Social, .com.
You will work closely with creative agencies, product marketing, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of brand copy, while also playing a crucial role in crafting messaging and creative briefs for agency partners. You will be expected to contribute to the agency briefing process, internal creative reviews, copy and messaging development, and the final execution of engaging and impactful copy for various marketing initiatives to ensure we’re driving authenticity for our brand and breakthrough results.
In addition to your role developing and managing the brand messaging and copy process, you will also serve as a gatekeeper for all brand advertising assets (cross-channel) to ensure HE brand/campaign guidelines, consistency, and quality maintain brand standards. This will require, working across Integrated Marketing teams to review, provide feedback, and deliver a strong point-of-view for our marketing assets.
Responsibilities:
Development of Local Messaging/Comms Toolkits
Localize HQ assets to ensure creative relevance and impact for the US market.
Develop the appropriate tonality, identity, and voice of our brand to inform copy decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals, target audiences, and messaging strategies.
Create feature, product, and advertising messaging within a messaging comms toolkit for teams to leverage for their copy requirements.
Ensure local creative and consumer insights are leveraged to inform our copy direction.
Development of Agency Messaging Brief
Contribute to the agency's creative brief (namely around messaging strategy and honing consumer insights)
Develop messaging briefs for agency partners, outlining key objectives, target audiences, and brand positioning.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive messaging strategies, and best practices in copywriting and marketing communications.
Management of Consumer Marketing Copy & Creative Deliverables
Work collaboratively with creative agencies and cross-functional teams to develop high-quality and engaging copy.
Manage timelines and project schedules to ensure timely delivery of copy assets.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to copywriters and agency teams.
Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to facilitate efficient creative reviews, approvals, and production processes.
(Ad-hoc basis) write and edit original copy for Consumer Marketing asset needs, including Paid Media (OLA, OLV, Social, Search) and Partnerships.
Brand Creative Governance
Develop and steward marketing copy and brand advertising assets across all integrated marketing channels (Paid Media, Channel/Retail, CRM, Organic Social, .com) to ensure that HE brand/campaign guidelines are followed.
Review all marketing creative assets to ensure consistency with brand messaging, tone, and visual identity.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
5+ years of experience in copywriting or leading messaging strategy and copy for a brand, preferably within the technology or consumer electronics industries
Proven track record of developing effective and engaging messaging strategies and copy for various marketing channels
Strong understanding of brand management principles and best practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit
